Ingredients

 
1 1/4 lb asparagus
 
1 lb fresh peas, shelled
 
1 cup lettuce, shredded
 
1 green onion, thinly sliced
 
6 Tbsp margarine
 
2 tsp vegetable salt
 
1/2 tsp ground black pepper

Directions

Cut off tough ends of asparagus.
Wash tips well and thinly slice stalks diagonally.
In a bowl combine peas, lettuce, and green onion with asparagus.
Mix well.
Place 2/3 cup of mixed vegetables in the center of a 7 inch square of foil paper.
Bring up sides of foil paper and fold over top securely making a tight packet.
Wrap remaining vegetables the same way; each packet serves 1 person.
Arrange packets in a steamer with 1 inch of boiling water on bottom of steamer.
Cover and steam for 30 minutes.
Open packets and put 1 Tbsp of margarine in each packet of vegetables; and season with salt & pepper
