Asian Chex Mix Recipe Video
Asian Chex Mix. They are so addicting; after having a couple of pieces, you will have this urge to have more. The sweet, yet salty taste will draw you back over and over again. I made a batch and shared them with friends. I noticed that they couldn't stop heading back to the mix for more! Asian Chex Mix is definitely a 'must-have' at a party or get-together with friends.
Ingredients
| Butter | 3⁄10 Cup (4 tbs) (Smart Balance Brand) | |
| Simple syrup | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (0.25 Cup Sugar, 0.25 Cup Water) | |
| Low sodium soy sauce | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Furikake flakes | 3⁄10 (Dried Seaweed & Sesame Seeds) | |
| Chex rice cereal | 12 Ounce |
Directions
Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
Mix the butter, soy sauce, simple sugar, and sugar into a small pot.
Bring the mixture to boil, and turn the heat off.
In a big bowl, pour the rice chex into it.
Pour the mixture over the chex; mix the cereal continuously.
Sprinkle the Furikake in 3-4 batches; combine really well. Cereal may harden slightly, and that is okay.
Bake for 1 hour, hand mixing it every 30 minutes to prevent it from sticking together too much.
Remove from the oven and set aside to cool down.
