2/3 cup orange juice
 
3 plum tomatoes, finely chopped, with their juice
 
1 tablespoon olive oil
 
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano, crumbled
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
1 bay leaf
 
Pinch sugar
 
1 package (9 ounces) frozen artichoke hearts

Directions

1 ln a medium-size enameled or stainless steel saucepan, combine the orange juice, tomatoes, oil, oregano, salt, bay leaf, and sugar.
Add the artichoke hearts and bringto a boil over moderate heat.
Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for 8 minutes or until the artichoke hearts are tender.
Discard the bay leaf.
