Artichoke And Pepper Gratin Recipe
Ingredients
| Margarine | 1 Ounce | |
| Onion | 2 Ounce, peeled, finely chopped | |
| 1 medium green pepper, cored, seeded and finely chopped | ||
| 2 x 11 oz cans artichoke fronds, drained | ||
| 2 oz Edam cheese, grated | ||
| White breadcrumbs | 2 Ounce | |
| Paprika | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Melt the margarine in a frying pan. Add the onion and green pepper and fry until softened. Place 2 or 3 artichoke fronds in six well-greased individual ovenproof dishes and pile the pepper mixture on top. Combine the cheese, breadcrumbs and paprika and scatter a little over each serving. Bake in a preheated very hot oven (230°C/450°F, Gas Mark 8) for 10 minutes.
