Armenian Lentil Patties Recipe
Ingredients
| Lentils | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Large garlic cloves - 2, crushed | ||
| Water | 1 Quart | |
| Bulgur | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Parsley | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| Paprika | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Parsley | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Green onions with tops - 1 cup, finely chopped | ||
Directions
MAKING
1. In a pot of warm water add lentils, garlic and onion.
2. Cover and cook for 25 minutes till the lentils are tender.
3. Add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well.
4. Cover and simmer for 2 minutes on low heat.
5. Cool.
6. Add pepper. Stir to mix well.
7. Prepare patties from the mixture.
8. Add green onions and parsley.
9. Roll paties in the prepared mixture.
SERVING
10. Serve American lentil patties warm.
