 Butter/Margarine3 Tablespoon
 Sugar1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Eggs3
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Vanilla extract1 Teaspoon
 All purpose flour1 Tablespoon
 Dark corn syrup1 Cup (16 tbs)
 12 dates, pitted and cut into pieces
 Pecans3/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped

Directions

Cream butter with sugar.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Beat in salt and vanilla.
Add flour and blend well.
Add corn syrup.
Fold in dates and pecans.
Pour into pastry-lined 9-inch pie pan.
Bake in preheated slow oven (325°F.) for 45 minutes, or until set.
