Arhar Dal Recipe

Ingredients
| Toor dal | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 4 Cup (64 tbs) | |
| Chopped tomato | 1 | |
| Turmeric powder | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Red chili powder | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Coriander powder | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Cumin powder | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Sugar | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Asafoetida | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Red chili | 3 | |
| Cumin seeds | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Ghee | 1 Tablespoon |
Directions
1. In a pressure cooker put all ingredients from toor dal to sugar and bring to boil. Cook in medium heat and remove after 2 or 3 whistles.
2. Heat ghee, add cumin seeds, whole red chili and asafetida. When splutters pour the boiled dal. Heat dal and bring to boil and cook for a few minutes in medium heat. Remove and serve hot.
