Apricot Jam Recipe
This recipe for apricot jam can be prepared at home with dried apricots and pectin. Cooked along with sugar and lemon juice, the apricot jam has almonds in it and can be served with bread or sweet buns.
Ingredients
| Dried apricots | 250 Gram | |
| Water | 3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 tablespoon pectin | ||
| 4 cups caster sugar juice 2 lemons | ||
| Slivered almonds | 125 Gram | |
Directions
1.
Combine dried apricots and 1 cup water in a 3-4-litre casserole dish.
Cook, uncovered, for 5 minutes on HIGH.

Stir in pectin.
Cook further 7-8 minutes on HIGH.
3.
Stir in remaining water, sugar and lemon juice.
Cook uncovered for 5 minutes on HIGH.
Stir well to dissolve sugar.
Cook a further 15 minutes on HIGH.

Swirl through toasted almonds.
5.
Ladle into hot sterilised jars.
Seal and label.
