Apricot Prune Apple Tart Recipe
Ingredients
| Unbaked pie shell | 1 9 inch | |
| Dried apricots | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dried prunes | 1 Cup (16 tbs), halved | |
| Water to cover | ||
| Apple slices | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Honey | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Prepare pie shell according to preferred recipe.
Place apricots and prunes in saucepan with just enough water to cover them.
Bring to a boil, cover, lower heat and simmer for approximately 10 minutes.
Set aside to cool slightly.
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Combine apple slices, honey, cinnamon and lemon juice.
Mix thoroughly.
Arrange fruit in pie shell, alternating apricot, prune and apple until shell is filled.
Pour over the top any juice remaining from apricot-prune mixture and apple mixture.
Bake in preheated oven for approximately 45 minutes or until apples are tender.
