Apricot Glazed Ham Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 x 6-8 lb. canned ham | ||
| 3/4 cup apricot conserve | ||
| White vinegar | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Honey | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Ground ginger | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Watercress or parsley to garnish | ||
Directions
Cut ham into 1/4-inch thick slices.
Re-shape and tie two separate strands of string around sides of ham and one strand over top, sides and base to keep ham intact.
Put into a shallow roasting pan.
Combine apricot conserve, vinegar, honey and ginger.
Heat 5 minutes and sieve.
Brush this glaze over ham and bake in a hot oven (400°F.) for 20 minutes, reduce to moderate (350°F.) and bake for a further 1 -1 1/2 hours.
Brush with remaining glaze every 20-30 minutes.
Place ham on serving platter, remove string and garnish with watercress.
Serve with Spiced Apricots.
May be served warm or cold.
