Applesauce Meat Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
| Soft bread crumbs | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Applesauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 2 Tablespoon, finley chopped | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Celery flakes | 1 Teaspoon, dried | |
| Dijon Mustard | 2 Teaspoon | |
| 1 egg, slightly beaten | ||
| Ground beef | 1 pound | |
| Brown sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Vinegar | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Combine the bread crumbs and 1/2 cup of the applesauce in a large bowl and mix well.
Add the onion, salt, pepper, celery flakes, 1 teaspoon of the dijon mustard, egg and ground beef; mix well.
Shape into a round loaf in a 9x9 inch baking dish.
Make a rounded depression in the top of the loaf and fill it with a mixture of the remaining 1/2 cup applesauce, brown sugar, vinegar and the remaining 1 teaspoon dijon mustard.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
