Ingredients
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Soft bread crumbs | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Applesauce | 1 Ounce | |
| Onion | 2 Tablespoon, finley chopped | |
| Prepared mustard | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Celery flakes | 1 Teaspoon, dried | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Ground beef | 1 1/2 Pound | |
| Brown sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Vinegar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Ground allspice | 1/4 Teaspoon |
Directions
In a bowl combine the egg, bread crumbs, 2 cup of the applesauce, onion, 1 teaspoon of the prepared mustard, celery flakes, salt, and pepper.
Add ground beef, mix well.
Shape into a round loaf in a shallow baking pan.
Make a depression in top of loaf.
Combine the remaining 2 cup applesauce and 1 teaspoon mustard; stir in the brown sugar, vinegar, and allspice.
Spoon into depression.
Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes.
Add ground beef, mix well.
