Applesauce Snacking Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Applesauce | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), sweetened | |
| 1 cup NABISCO® 100% Bran | ||
| 1/2 cup EGG BEATERS® 99% Real Egg Product | ||
| 1/2 cup BRER RABBIT® Light Molasses | ||
| All purpose flour | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar | ||
| 1/2 cup FLEISCHMANN'S® Margarine, softened | ||
| Raisins | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
In medium bowl, mix applesauce, bran, Egg Beaters® and molasses; let stand 5 minutes.
In small bowl, blend flour, baking soda and cinnamon; set aside.
In large bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed, beat sugar and margarine until creamy.
Beat in bran mixture until smooth.
Blend in flour mixture; stir in raisins.
Spread batter evenly in ungreased 15 x10 x1 inch baking pan.
Bake at 350°F for 20 to 25 minutes or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pan on wire rack.
Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar if desired; cut into 48 bars.
