Applesauce Meat Loaf Recipe
Ingredients
| Soft bread crumbs | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Applesauce | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ground beef | 1 pound | |
| 1 slightly beaten egg | ||
| Onion | 2 Tablespoon, finley chopped | |
| Celery flakes | 1 Teaspoon, dried | |
| 2 teaspoons Dijon-style mustard | ||
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Brown sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Vinegar | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Combine bread crumbs with the first 1/2 cup applesauce.
Add beef, egg, onion, celery flakes, 1 teaspoon mustard, salt, and dash pepper; blend thoroughly.
Shape into round loaf in 9x9x2-inch baking pan.
With bowl of spoon make a depression in top of loaf.
Combine remaining 1/2 cup applesauce, brown sugar, vinegar, and remaining mustard; pour into depression in meat loaf.
Bake at 350° for 1 hour.
