Applesauce Gingerbread Recipe

Ingredients
1 1/2 cups unbleached flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2/3 cup sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground allspice
1 1/2 cups unsweetened applesauce
1 cup molasses
3 egg whites
1 1/2 cups light whipped topping (optional)
Directions
1. In a large bowl, combine the flours, sugar, baking soda, and spices, and stir to mix well. Add the applesauce, molasses, and egg whites, and stir to mix well.
2. Coat a 9-x-l3-inch pan with cooking spray, and spread the batter in the pan. Bake at 325°F for 40 minutes, or just until a wooden toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
