Applesauce Cranberry Mould Recipe
Applesauce cranberry mold is a juicy and fruity gelatin mold. Made with applesauce and cranberry sauce, the gelatin is flavored with added cranberry or orange juice. Filled with apple pieces along with oranges, celery and walnuts with hints of orange peel, the apple sauce cranberry mold is festive and delightful as a holiday side or dessert.
Ingredients
2 envelopes unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup orange or cranberry juice
1/2 cup boiling water
1 can or jar (16 ounces) whole-berry cranberry sauce
1 cup applesauce
1 apple, cored and cut up
1 cup diced celery
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 orange, peeled and diced
2 tablespoons grated orange peel
Directions
Soften gelatin in juice.
Add boiling water and stir to dissolve; cool.
Mix all other ingredients; add to gelatin mixture.
Pour into a greased 2-quart mold and refrigerate several hours.
Unmold.
