Ingredients

 1/2 cup corn-free vegetable shortening
 Honey1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lemon juice1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Arrowroot1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 3/4 cup brown rice flour, or 1 cup millet or garbanzo flour and 3/4 cup brown rice flour
 1 1/4 tsp arrowroot baking powder
 Baking soda1/4 Teaspoon
 Ground cloves1/4 Teaspoon
 Nutmeg1/4 Teaspoon
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon
 Cinnamon1 Teaspoon
 1 cup chopped nuts or seeds
 Raisins1 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Cream together the shortening and honey.
Add applesauce.
Combine dry ingredients.
Stir into applesauce mixture.
Add nuts and raisins.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400° about 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
