Applesauce Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/2 cup corn-free vegetable shortening | ||
| Honey | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Arrowroot | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 3/4 cup brown rice flour, or 1 cup millet or garbanzo flour and 3/4 cup brown rice flour | ||
| 1 1/4 tsp arrowroot baking powder | ||
| Baking soda | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cloves | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 cup chopped nuts or seeds | ||
| Raisins | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Cream together the shortening and honey.
Add applesauce.
Combine dry ingredients.
Stir into applesauce mixture.
Add nuts and raisins.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto a lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 400° about 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
