Applesauce Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
| Flour | 1 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cloves | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 tbsp. artificial liquid sweetener | ||
| Egg | 1 | |
| Unsweetened applesauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Raisins | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 cup whole bran cereal | ||
Directions
Five cookies equal 1 bread choice, 2 fat choices and 1 fruit choice.
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Sift together flour, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and baking soda.
Mix butter, liquid sweetener and egg until light and fluffy.
Add the flour mixture and applesauce alternately, mixing well after each addition.
Fold in raisins and cereal.
Drop by level table-spoonsful onto a greased cookie sheet.
Bake 18 minutes or until golden brown.
