Applesauce Cake Recipe

| Apricot jam | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |

| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Apples | 1 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Sugar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cream | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
– Preheat oven to 375 °F (190 °C).
– Butter an 8-inch (20-cm) round cake pan.
– In a saucepan, heat applesauce, add baking soda, and remove from heat. Set aside.
– In a large bowl, cream shortening, add sugar, then raisins, nuts, flour, cloves, cinnamon, and salt, one ingredient at a time.
– Pour applesauce into mixture and stir well.
– Pour batter into the cake pan and bake 35 to 45 minutes.
– Coat with Apple Cream.
