Applesauce And Walnut Cake Recipe
Even James Bond was not able to access this highly classified recipe of Applesauce Cake. Now I am outing it for all on the web. I just love Dessert recipes and this dish is my only favorite amongst them. This recipe is a good way to use Fruits. Serve this Applesauce Cake at the table today and watch it disappear in delight!
Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 cup chopped walnuts
3 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon cloves
2 cups sugar
1/2 cup oil
3 eggs
1 jar (15 oz.) applesauce
Directions
Mix flour, walnuts, cinnamon, baking soda, salt, baking powder, nutmeg and cloves; set aside.
In large bowl, with electric mixer, beat sugar, oil and eggs at high speed for 5 minutes.
Alternately blend in flour mixture and applesauce; beat until smooth.
Pour batter into well greased 16-cup fluted tube dish.
Cover with wax paper.
Cook at LOW 10 minutes and at MEDIUM-HIGH 1 1/2 to 9 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Rotate dish 1/4 turn every 5 minutes.
Let stand, uncovered, 15 minutes.
Invert onto serving plate
