Directions

Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
Butter and flour a 9 inch (23 cm) cake pan.
Set aside.
In a mixer bowl, at low speed, beat first 5 ingredients.
In a second bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Fold into first mixture.
Increase speed.
Beat 2 minutes.
Fold in nuts and raisins.
Pour into pan.
Bake in oven 30-35 minutes or until a knife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
Let cool slightly.
