Applesauce Raisin Cake Recipe

| Sifted flour | 2 Cup (32 tbs) | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Cloves | 1⁄4 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Margarine | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Raisins | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Nuts | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Applesauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Box of dates | 1 , cut up |
Directions
Sift flour and spices three times.
Cream butter; add sugar gradually and cream until light and fluffy.
Add egg beating well.
Add nutmeats, raisins and dates.
Add flour mixture alternately with applesauce a small amount at a time.
Bake in greased tube pan 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350°.
