Applesauce and Chocolate Brownies Recipe Video

Ingredients

 
2 ounces unsweetened chocolate
 
1 cup cake flour, sifted
 
4.5 ounces cocoa powder
 
1 teaspoon salt
 
6 egg whites
 
4 whole eggs
 
1 pound granulated sugar
 
16 ounces light or dark corn syrup
 
12 ounces unsweetened applesauce
 
3 ounces canola oil
 
1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Directions

Preheat oven to 350°. Coat a sheet pan with cooking spray. Melt chocolate in a double boiler and set aside. Sift flour, cocoa powder and salt together and set aside. Whisk egg whites and eggs together. Add sugar, corn syrup, applesauce, oil and vanilla. Whisk in melted chocolate. Fold flour mixture into batter and pour into prepared pan. Bake about 25 minutes or until a cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
