 Egg1 , beaten
 Soft bread crumbs1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Applesauce1 8 1/2 Ounce
 Onion2 Tablespoon, finley chopped
 Prepared mustard2 Teaspoon
 Celery flakes1 Teaspoon, dried
 1 1/2 pounds ground beef-textured vegetable protein mixture
 Packed brown sugar1 Tablespoon
 Vinegar1 Tablespoon
 Ground allspice1/4 Teaspoon

Directions

Combine egg, crumbs, 1/2 cup of the applesauce, onion, 1 teaspoon mustard, celery flakes, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and dash pepper.
Add ground beef-textured vegetable protein mixture and mix well.
Shape into a round loaf.
Place into a shallow baking pan.
Make a depression in top of loaf.
Combine remaining applesauce and mustard, sugar, vinegar, and allspice; pour into depression.
Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes.
