| 2 1/2 pounds fresh pork spareribs, cut into 2- or 3-rib pieces | ||
Directions
Mix onion and margarine in a medium bowl.
Microwave at HIGH (100%) until tender, 3 to 5 minutes.
Stir in remaining ingredients except spareribs.
Microwave at HIGH (100%) until hot and bubbly, 4 to 6 minutes, stirring 2 or 3 times during cooking.
Set barbecue sauce aside.
Arrange spareribs in rectangular baking dish, 12 x 8 inches, or 10-inch square casserole.
Spread with 3/4 cup of the barbecue sauce.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Microwave at HIGH (100%) 5 minutes.
Reduce power to MEDIUM (50%).
Microwave 20 minutes.
Rearrange and turn spareribs over.
Re-cover.
Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) until fork-tender, 20 to 25 minutes.
Drain.
Spread remaining barbecue sauce over spareribs.
Microwave, uncovered, at MEDIUM (50%) until barbecue sauce is hot and spareribs are glazed, 4 to 6 minutes.
Microwave at HIGH (100%) until tender, 3 to 5 minutes.
