Apples Baked In Wine With Rum Recipe
Ingredients
| Walnuts | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Dates | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Cherries | 1 Tablespoon, candied | |
| 2 tablespoons confectioners'sugar | ||
| 6 large apples, cored but not through the bottom | ||
| Dry white wine | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Rum | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Whipped cream for a garnish | ||
Directions
Combine walnuts, dates, cherries, and sugar.
Fill the cored apples with the mixture.
Arrange filled apples in the slow cooker, not touching the sides, where they may burn.
Apples may be stacked upon one another if staggered.
Pour wine around apples.
Cover and cook on low 3 to 4 hours.
Remove to dessert dishes and ladle the wine and accumulated cooking juices around each.
Pour rum over fillings and garnish with whipped cream
