Ingredients
1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup wheat germ
1/3 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon grated orange peel, divided
1/2 cup cold butter, cut into pieces
1 egg, beaten
1 cup pecans, coarsely chopped
1/3 cup golden raisins
8 tablespoons honey, divided
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
4 cups peeled, cored, 1/4 incn-thick apple slices
1/3 cup orange marmalade
2/3 cup whipping cream
Directions
Combine flour, wheat germ, sugar, salt and 1/2 teaspoon of the orange peel in large bowl.
Cut in 1/2 cup cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in egg until well blended; press in bottom and up side of 9-inch tart pan with removable bottom.
Freeze until very firm, about 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Sprinkle pecans and raisins on chilled crust.
Combine 6 tablespoons of the honey, the 2 tablespoons melted butter, remaining 1/4 teaspoon orange peel, the cinnamon and apple slices in large bowl; stir to coat apples.
Arrange apple slices in circular pattern on top of pecans and raisins.
Drizzle any honey mixture left in bowl over apples.
Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until apples are tender.
Heat marmalade until warm; brush over apples.
Cool; remove side of tart pan.
