Apple Whole-Wheat Muffins Recipe
Apple whole wheat muffins are healthy and delicious muffins made with chopped apples and honey. Baked with baked with whole wheat flour and milk, this muffin recipe is simple yet delectable.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups whole-wheat flour 375 mL
1/2 cup all-purpose flour 125 mL
2 1/2 tsp baking powder 12 mL
3/4 tsp salt 4mL
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup milk 175 mL
1/3 cup vegetable oil 75 mL
1/3 cup honey 75 mL
1 cup chopped apples 250 mL
Directions
In a large bowl combine whole-wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder and salt.
In another bowl, whisk together egg, milk, oil and honey.
Add to flour mixture, stirring just until moist and blended.
Do not overmix.
Fold in apples.
Spoon batter into prepared muffin tin, filling cups three-quarters full.
Bake in preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and dry.
