Apple-Walnut Bread Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 c. packaged biscuit mix | ||
| Oats | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Walnuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), broken | |
| Semi-sweet chocolate | 1 /2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 c. golden seedless raisins | ||
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| Milk | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Applesauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs), canned | |
Directions
Combine biscuit mix, oats, sugar, salt and baking powder; add walnuts, chocolate pieces and raisins.
Combine egg and milk; stir into chocolate mixture.
Stir in applesauce; beat vigorously for 30 seconds.
Spoon into greased loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until bread tests done.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes; remove to rack.
Cool.
