Apple-Raisin Stuffing Recipe

Ingredients

 
2 eating apples
 
1/3 cup seedless raisins
 
1/3 cup filberts
 
4 slices fresh white bread
 
2 tablespoons corn syrup
 
2 teaspoons oil
 
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
 
a squeeze of lemon juice
 
salt and pepper

Directions

Pare the apples and cut them into quarters.
Put into the processor with the raisins and nuts and chop finely .
Put into a bowl.
Discard the crusts and make the bread into crumbs .
Add to the chopped fruit and nuts.
Warm together the syrup and oil and add to the dry ingredients with the mustard, lemon juice and seasoning.
Mix lightly and use to stuff pork, lamb or veal.
Note This stuffing is also good with rich poultry such as goose or duck.
