6 apples
 
3/4 cup raisins
 
1 cup water
 
1 tablespoon flour
 
1 teaspoon cinnamon
 
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
 
1/4 teaspoon salt
 
1 cup sugar, divided
 
1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
 
1/2 cup margarine, melted
 
1 cup quick oats
 
1/2 cup flour

Directions

Peel, core and slice apples.
Add raisins and water and stew about 10 minutes.
Mix flour, spices and 2 tablespoons of the sugar.
Add to apples, stir until smooth, and bring to boil.
Turn into pie shell.
Combine remaining ingredients and sprinkle over top of apples.
Bake in a hot oven (450° F) 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to moderate 350° F and bake 40 to 45 minutes or until crumbs are brown and crisp.
Makes one 9-inch pie.
