Baked Apple Dumplings Recipe

| Pastry Crust for a 9 inch Pie – 1 | ||
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |

| Nutmeg | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pineapple juice | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Pecan or Walnuts – ½ cup, broken | ||
| Tart Apples – 6 medium | ||
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Preheat the oven to 425F
MAKING
2) Roll out the pastry onto a floured board of 6 squares of 7 inches each
3) Mix together the sugar, cinnamon, pineapple juice and butter
4) Heat the mixture on the stove over a low flame lightly for 5 minutes
5) Take off from the flame and stir in the nuts
6) Using a peeler, peel off the skin off the apples
7) Using a sharp knife, core them and keep aside
8) In a bowl mix together the cinnamon and sugar
9) Fill each apple cavity with the sugar and cinnamon
10) Dot some butter over the apples
11) Place the apples on the center of each pastry square and bring the opposite sides together to overlap
12) Moisten and seal the ends
13) Place them carefully into an oblong baking dish
14) Pour the hot nutty syrup around the apples, taking care not pour over
15) Bake for 40-45minutes till golden brown

16) Serve with the syrup and some cream
