Directions

In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, bak- ing powder, salt and nutmeg.
With a pastry blender, cut in shortening.
In another bowl, combine egg, milk and grated apple.
Add to flour mixture.
Spoon batter into prepared muffin tin, filling cups two-thirds full.
Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes.
Remove from pan.
In a bowl combine butter, sugar and cinnamon.
Roll buffins in topping.
Serve warm.
