Apple Oats Crisp Recipe
This is the best ever Apple Crisp I have ever tasted! You have landed in the right place. This Apple Crisp when served as Dessert is sure to please your family members. It is one Canadian dish which will never fail to impress you or your guests. I am sure both of us will be in agreement that this Apple Crisp is truly scrumptious.
Ingredients
4 large tart cooking apples, Lemon juice (optional)
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/2 cup butter or margarine
Directions
Peel and core apples, and place in greased shallow baking dish.
If apples are dry and not at their prime flavor, sprinkle with a little lemon juice.
Combine flour, rolled oats and sugar, and-blend in butter or margarine (with 2 knives or with fingers).
Mixture will have rough, crumbly 'appearance.
Cover apples with this topping, and bake, uncovered, at 375 °F. 30â€â€40 minutes or until fruit is quite tender and top crisp and nicely browned.
Serve warm with cream or ice cream.
