Simple Apple Crisp Recipe
Ingredients
3 cups peeled, sliced cooking apples
2 tablespoons apple juice
Topping:
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 tablespoons butter or margarine
Directions
1. Prepare topping mixture. Butter a 7-inch pie plate. Place apples in baking dish. Drizzle with apple juice. Sprinkle with topping mixture. Microwave, uncovered, at 100% (high) 7 to 8 minutes or until apples are tender; give dish a half turn after 4 minutes.
2. Serve warm with cream or vanilla or cinnamon ice cream, if desired.
