Apple Cobbler Recipe
The apple cobbler is a rich and fruity flavored that is a perfect summer treat after meals. Made with apple sauce, light brown sugar, walnuts, cinnamon and nutmeg, the apple cobbler is cooked and topped with a biscuit mix. Fresh and warm, the apple cobbler may be served with cool whip.
Ingredients
2 cups canned applesauce
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Topping:
1 cup prepared Bisquick mix
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup butter or margarine
Directions
Combine first 5 ingredients and pour into greased 9 inch cake dish.
Combine Bisquick and sugar and cut in butter.
Spread evenly over applesauce mixture.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 25 minutes.
Serve warm with cool whip.
