 Flour1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/2 cup nonfat dry milk powder
 Sugar1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Baking powder2 Teaspoon
 Salt1/2 Teaspoon

 Egg1
 Water1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Chopped1 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped
 Butter1/4 Cup (16 tbs), melted
 Pecans and walnuts1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
 Firmly packed brown sugar1/2 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Combine the flour, dry milk powder, sugar, baking powder, salt and half the cinnamon in a large bowl.
Beat the egg with the water in a medium bowl.
Stir in the apple and butter.
Add the apple mixture to the flour mixture all at once.
Stir just until moistened (batter will be very stiff).
Fill 12 buttered 21/2 inch muffin cups 2/3 full.
Combine the walnuts, brown sugar and remaining 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon in a small bowl.
Sprinkle the walnut mixture over each muffin.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until muffins test done.
Remove from pan immediately.
Serve warm.
