Ingredients
6 medium-size ripe tomatoes, peeled and quartered
2 cups green apples, cut into chunks
2 cups seedless raisins
1 cup minced onions
3 1/3 cups brown sugar, packed
2 cups vinegar
1/4 cup salt
4 ounces white mustard seed
2 ounces preserved ginger, coarsely chopped
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions
Combine all ingredients and cook slowly, stirring occasionally, three hours.
Pack quickly into hot sterilized jars to within one eighth inch of the top.
Seal at once.
