Apple Batter Pudding Recipe

Ingredients
1 lb eating apples
1/4 cup brandy or Calvados
a pinch of ground cinnamon
2 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup soft light brown sugar
BATTER
3 eggs
1 1/4 cups self-rising flour
1/4 cup milk
Directions
Pare and core the apples.
Chop coarsely .
Put into a bowl with the brandy or Calvados and cinnamon and leave to stand for 1 hour.
Use a little of the butter to grease an ovenproof dish.
Put in the apples and brandy and sprinkle with the sugar.
Dot with flakes of butter.
To make the batter, mix the eggs, flour and milk to a thick cream .
Pour the batter over the fruit and bake at 400°F for 35 minutes until the batter is crisp and golden.
Serve very hot with cream.
