Apple and Pear Tart Recipe
|All-purpose flour||1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)|
|Egg yolk||1 Large|
|Grated lemon peel||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cold butter||7 Tablespoon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces|
|Ground mace||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ice water||2 Tablespoon|
|Slivered almonds||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Toasted)|
|Golden apples||2 Large, cut into thick wedges (Peeled)|
|Butter||1 1⁄2 Tablespoon|
|Bartlett pears||2 , cut into 1/2 inch thick wedges (Peeled)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|

Chop silvered almonds in a processor and spread it in the bottom of crust.
In a large bowl combine well apples and pears in large bowl.
Mix sugar, grated lemon peel and ground mace in another bowl.
Use the half of the sugar mixture to toss the apples and pears and pile into crust.
Use the remaining sugar mixture to sprinkle over fruit. Grace with a tablespoon of butter.
Bake in the oven for about 1 hour or until the crust is brown. Allow to cool
