Apple Sauce Cake Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 egg, beaten light | ||
| Soda | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1 c. hot applesauce | ||
| Nuts | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Flour | 1 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Salt | 1/4 Tablespoon | |
| Cloves | 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| 1 c. raisins, cut fine | ||
Directions
Cream together the butter and sugar; add beaten egg and beat well.
Sift together all dry ingredients.
Add to first mixture; then add applesauce, raisins and nuts.
Bake in 4" x 8" loaf pan for 60 minutes at 350°.
