Apple-Raisin Pudding Recipe
Apple-Raisin Pudding is healthy and at the same time is still delicious. Apple-Raisin Pudding is a great pudding recipe of mine which gives me a 5 from anyone who has tried it. A great pudding you will love!
Ingredients
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup (120 ml) Kasha, fine or medium granulation
3/4 tsp (4 ml) salt
2 tbs (30 ml) butter or margarine
1 cup (240 ml) water
2 eggs
1/4 cup (60 ml) brown sugar, firmly packed
1 cup (240 ml) tart apple, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup (120 ml) raisins
1 tsp (5 ml) grated lemon rind
1 tbs (15 ml) lemon juice
Directions
Combine beaten egg, kasha and salt.
In medium-size frying pan, cook mixture in butter 3 minutes, or until lightly toasted, stirring often.
Stir in water; bring to boil.
Cook, tightly covered, over low heat for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat; cool, uncovered, about 15 minutes.
In medium bowl, beat eggs with sugar.
Stir in apples, raisins, lemon rind, juice and kasha mixture.
Pour into well-oiled 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Bake at 350°F (180°C) for 45 minutes or until center appears firm.
