Apple Pinwheel Rolls Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 c. packaged biscuit mix | ||
| Dry yeast | 1 | |
| 3/4 c. lukewarm milk | ||
| Apples | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Cinnamon | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Red food coloring | ||
| Boiling water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Mix the biscuit mix, yeast and milk in a bowl and let rise until doubled in bulk.
Roll out on a floured surface to a rectangle 1/4 inch thick.
Spread with apples and roll as for jelly roll.
Cut in 1-inch slices and place slices, cut side down, in a greased baking pan.
Let rise until doubled in bulk.
Mix the cinnamon, sugar, butter, desired amount of food coloring and boiling water and pour over rolls in pan.
Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes.
