Apple Pie Recipe
Apple Pie is a delicious dessert. I have made this Apple Pie recipe may times and every time it has come out very well, it leaves every one with lips smacking experience. Apple Pie is inspired my many food chains all over the world.
Ingredients
3 or 4 large apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup sugar
1 scant tablespoon flour
1/2 cup brown sugar
Butter
Nutmeg
Cinnamon
Directions
To the apples add 1/2 cup sugar (or a bit more, as your taste dictates and according to the sweetness or tartness of the apples), the brown sugar, nutmeg and cinnamon to taste, and the flour.
Line a pie pan with pastry and into it pour the mixture.
Dot with butter.
Cover with a top crust and bake in a fairly hot oven, 450°, about 45 minutes.
A very easy way to be sure that the apples will be cooked as tender as you like them is to stew them with the sugar for a short time before putting them in the crust; let them cool a bit before adding the flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg, and then put them in the crust to bake.
