Apple Pie Recipe

|Granny smith apples||7 Large, peeled, cored, and sliced (Such As Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, Or Any Tart Apple)|
|Sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 Tablespoon|
|Quick-cooking tapioca/All purpose flour||1 Tablespoon|
|Lemon juice||2 Teaspoon|
|Grated lemon peel||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Unsalted butter||1 Tablespoon, cut up|

Preheat oven to 425°F.
In a large bowl, toss together the apple slices, sugar, flour, tapioca, cinnamon, and lemon juice and peel.
Turn the mixture into the prepared pie shell.
Dot the filling with butter pieces.
Place a second crust over the pie filling, fluting the edges as desired.
Brush the crust with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce the oven temperature to 350°F.
Bake until the apples are tender and the crust is golden brown, about 35 to 40 minutes more.
