Simple Apple Pie Recipe

|Nutmeg powder||1 Pinch|
|Milk||1 Cup (16 tbs) (For Brushing)|

Mix butter and flour with fingers till it resembles bread crumbs.
Knead to a stiff dough by adding water.
Knead well and divide into two.
Roll out both the doughs into 1/2 cm thick pastry slightly bigger than the pie dish.
Take a round pie dish.
Put one pastry in the dish covering the sides of the dish also.
Cut out extra pastry with a knife.
Prick with fork.
Peel, core and cut the apples into slices and arrange over the pastry.
Sprinkle sugar and nutmeg over the apple slice.
Sprinkle 2 tbsp water also.
Cut strips from the second pastry and make lattice design on top of the pasty.
Brush the pastry with milk.
Bake in the oven at 220°C for 20 minutes.
Reduce the heat to 160°C and bake for another 20 minutes.
Cool for 10 minutes.
Remove from the dish and serve warm.
