Mix in a bowl with sugar, flour, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg; set aside.
Fit one pie crust layer in the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish.
Put apples in pie crust.
Sprinkle lemon juice over top if apples are not too tart.
Dot with butter.
Put the remaining pie crust layer over apples.
Seal edges and cut slits in top of pie Microwave, uncovered, for about 10 minutes, on high or until apples are tender.
While apples are cooking, preheat conventional oven to 450°.
When apples are tender, bake pie in conventional oven 12 to 14 minutes, or until crust is golden brown.
