Apple Oatmeal Raisin Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
| 2 cups firmly packed dark brown sugar | ||

| Flour | 2 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Rolled oats | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Nutmeg | 1 Teaspoon, grated | |
| Cinnamon | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Baking soda | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1 1/2 cups finely diced, peeled tart cooking apples | ||
| Raisins | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Walnuts | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. In a large bowl, beat brown sugar and butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla until well blended.
2. Add flour mixed with oatmeal, baking powder, nutmeg, cinnamon, baking soda, and salt to butter-sugar mixture and beat until well blended. Stir in apples, raisins, and walnuts. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
3. Bake 15 to 18 minutes, just until edges begin to brown. Let cookies cool 2 minutes on sheets, then remove to a rack and let cool completely.
