Apple Meringue Recipe
Ingredients
| Egg whites | 2 | |
| Cream of tartar | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
| Sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Unsweetened applesauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 teaspoon grated lemon rind | ||
Directions
1. Using electric mixer at high speed, beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt in medium bowl until soft peaks form. Sprinkle in sugar; beat until egg whites are stiff. Using rubber spatula, gently fold in applesauce and lemon rind.
