| Vegetable oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Pork chops - 2 (1/2-inch-thick) | ||
| Sauerkraut | 1 Cup (16 tbs), drained | |
| Water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Caraway seeds | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Applesauce | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Onion | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Brown sugar | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon | |
Directions
MAKING
1. In heavy skillet heat oil. Add pork chops and brown on both sides.
2. Drain out the pork chops and keep aside.
3. Drain out the pan drippings.
4. In the skillet add sauerkraut, water, and caraway seeds. Stir well.
5. Arrange the pork chops on top.
6. In a small bowl mix remaining ingredients.
7. Spoon the mixture over pork chops.
8. Decrease heat, cover and simmer for 35 to 40 minutes.
SERVING
9. Serve hot.
